Leroy Atwood Vaughn Jr., 68, passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015.

He was born June 25, 1947, in St. Charles, son of Leroy and Laura Wilson Vaughn. He and Virginia Chilton were married Oct. 19, 1968.

He spent most of his life in Foley. He served in the Army as a SP5. He served one tour in Vietnam.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his wife and spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy A. Vaughn; and a son, Leroy H. Vaughn Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Virginia; two children, Sherry Vaughn Smith and Pamela Vaughn Brandt; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother, Laura Vaughn of Hartshorn; three siblings, Bill Vaughn and Jim Vaughn of Hanna, Wyo., and Alan Vaughn of Hartshorn; an adopted son, Calvin Ipock; and many other family members and friends.

Services are Thursday, Oct. 29, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ferguson officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Flatwoods Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
