Public infrastructure in Texas County sustained more than $2 million in damage late last year, according to the latest estimate released Tuesday.

Emergency Management Director Bennie Cook said townships and other entities estimate damage at about $2,045,000.

Here is a breakdown:

Boone Township, $60,000

Burdine Township, $125,000

Cass Township, $650,000

Jackson Township, $200,000

Lynch Township, $200,000

Ozark Township, $40,000

Pierce Township, $100,000

Piney Township, $300,000

Roubidoux Township, $50,000

Sargent Township, $75,000

Sherrill Township, $200,000

Upton Township, $25,000

Texas County administration, $10,000

City of Houston wastewater treatment plant, $10,000

Carroll, Clinton, Current, Date and Morris townships have not reported.

The estimates are the first step in an attempt to trigger federal relief for repairs to roads and bridges after heavy rain pelted the area.

Representatives of four U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) agencies will participate in public meetings January 20-21 to explain various types of flood-recovery assistance available to landowners and units of government. A meeting is in Rolla from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the Comfort Suites Conference Center, 1650 Old Wire Outer Road. The hotel is off Interstate 44 at exit 186. Use the entrance at the rear of the building.
