University of Missouri Extension has issued a revised edition of the 24-page publication “Resources for Your Flooded Home,” which covers a variety of issues residents of flood-damaged homes may have to deal with, including health and safety precautions; assessing damage; cleaning and disinfecting; mold and mildew prevention and removal; step-by-step restoration; filing for insurance and federal disaster assistance; and credit and other sources of relief.
