Celebration of Life: 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Evans Funeral Home

Dina Annette Casey departed this life on Feb. 19, 2016, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 43 yrs 10 months 16 days after a short illness.

She was born April 3rd 1972 in Elmhurst, Ill., the only child of John and Lynda Casey; and the loving passionate mother of Devin, age 12 years.

Dina went to Cabool Schools and graduated with the Class of 1990; attended MSU and Drury University and worked in Springfield a few years, moved to Houston to raise her son.

Dina was a beautiful, sincere, caring soul to all her family and her friends. She found time to give love, compassion and help not only to family, but all who were in need. She loved the outdoors, hiking, spending time at the river, gardening and “her famous sunflowers”; and cared for and rescued many cats and dogs.

She is survived by her parents, John and Lynda Casey; her son, Devin Casey; her grandmother, Primrose Casey, all of Houston; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends who she has kept near and dear to her.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jack Casey of Houston; her grandmother, Jewel Lee of Cabool; and a grandfather Lester Lee of Harrisburg, Ill.

Heartfelt thanks are given to her special friends, Tom Ayers and Jeremy Stephenson who stayed by her side.

There will be a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, at Evans Funeral Home in Houston. Dina has been cremated under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
