Sabrina Lynn Hildebrand Jones, 52, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, following a lifelong battle with juvenile diabetes.
She was born Oct. 22, 1963, in Santa Maria, Calif., daughter of Jerald Gale Hildebrand and Rebecca Lois Mace. She and John Jones were married April 26, 2003.
After initially moving back to Missouri when she was an infant, the family relocated to Houston, Texas, on Christmas night of 1966. She grew up there surrounded by loving family and great friends, enjoying all of what city life had to offer. She traveled to the Hildebrand homestead in Roby often as well, spending time riding horses on the farm and cooking with her paternal grandmother, Rosa.
Following her mother’s death in 1979, she moved back to Roby. She developed a love of writing poetry to cope with her loss, spending much of her time creating heartfelt verse. In 1984, she again moved to Houston. She held a career in insurance, working for several well-known companies and even had a gig in modeling.
As a stay-at-home mother, Sabrina loved to spoil her children, cook, decorate, host dinner parties and enjoy time with her family.
She loved being a wife. She and her husband, John, enjoyed gardening, landscaping, riding their motorcycle and spending quality time.
Survivors include two children, Skyler and Matthew; a stepson, Daniel; her husband, John; her father and stepmother, Gale and Mary Hildebrand; two siblings, Quentin Hildebrand and Tisha Abell; five grandchildren; and many other family members.
Services were Wednesday, March 2, at Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastors David Jett and Erin McConnell officiating. Burial was in Long Hollow Cemetery at the Hildebrand family plot.
