Champ Lane, 63, passed away Tuesday, March 1, at his home in Duke.

He was born Oct. 7, 1952, son of Frank and Emogene Wilson Lane.

He enjoyed fishing with his wife, Jan, working on his farm and hunting and fishing with extended family. He and Daniel Hill built a construction business together.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Eric Lane; and two sisters, Missoura Cox and Margrie Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Jan Brumett Lane of the home; a brother, Wilson of Licking; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Services were Friday, March 4, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Hughes officiating. Burial was in Watts Cemetery.
