Houston attorney Kimberly Lowe is now a multiple-album recording artist.
Under the name Kimberly Faith, Lowe has released her second compilation of contemporary Christian music, titled “Blessed Liberty.” The album features 10 songs, including several co-written by Faith’s son, Jon Lowe.
Faith’s new album is a follow up to her October 2014 release, “Freedom’s Dream.”
“This album is all grown up compared to the first one,” she said. “It’s more professional, most of the songs are more complex, and I think it’s a lot deeper.”
Like Faith’s first album, “Blessed Liberty” was recorded at Jacob Paul’s Inside Out Studio in Farmington, Ark. Paul again contributes much of the instrumental work (including guitar, banjo and mandolin) and some vocals, while Faith’s daughter, Grace, and son, Jon, also provide vocal support.
Faith lives in Waynesville and has an office and busy attorney practice in Houston, and has purchased a building at Grand Avenue and Walnut Street downtown and is having it refurbished for her business. She began writing songs for the new release almost immediately after her first album hit the shelves.
Recording and mastering of the album was complete early this year.
“It calls people to come back to their souls,” Faith said. “I’ve been called back to my soul, and if there’s anything I would like to help people in this country do, it’s come back to our soul roots. Where are the people with class and integrity and stability?
“We’re so far from that.”
Faith is also working on a devotional book (“Essential Faith”) that should be available early this summer. Its pages will feature drawings by Houston fifth-grader Lily Johnson.
“My goal really is to glorify God,” Faith said, “but what I do also shows people you don’t have to be ‘somebody’ to do something. When God is in control, you just have to listen.”
“Blessed Liberty” is available on CD at Kim Lowe’s office on Walnut Street in Houston, and can also be purchased iTunes. For more information about Kimberly Faith, log onto www.gofaithstrong.com.
