Brine Printice Wilson, Sr., 71, of Raymondville, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at his home.

He was born Aug. 28, 1944, in Grapevine, Ark., son of Ivan J. and Ethel McKlusky Wilson. He and Pat DeWitt were married June 27, 1981.

He graduated high school in St. Louis and later attended college and received his Journeyman Iron Worker credentials. He worked several years in construction, building many bridges in Missouri and rides at Six Flags.

He served in the Army from 1962-’68 and was honorably discharged on Nov. 13, 1968, as a sergeant.

He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Doyne Wilson, James Wilson, Verline Goodwin, Marguriette Ward, Bobby Joe Wilson and Dortha Cooley

Survivors include two children, Brine Wilson Jr. of Kansas City and Tonia Tabor of Raymondville; a granddaughter; two sisters, Shirley Oliver of Silex and Carol Clark of Elsberry; a brother, Jerry Wilson of Elsberry; two step-daughters, Alicia Bryson and Teresa Ackerman; and many other family members.

Memorial services will be hosted by the family at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
