Elva Edwards, 73, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016.
He was born Aug. 20, 1942, in Hartshorn, son of Ira and Nancy Edwards. He and Mary Ann Randolph were married Dec. 5, 1959.
He loved fishing on the Current River and hunting with his grandson, Austin.
He traveled with his wife for many years as a heavy equipment operator. He was passionate about his job.
He attended church until his health did not permit. He planted the seed of Jesus Christ in his family’s hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul and Floyd Edwards; and two sisters, Alta Schweighauser and June Bartlett.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Smith; a grandson; a granddaughter; and other family members and friends.
Services are Tuesday, April 26, at Bradford Funeral Home with the Rev. John Atchison officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
