Anna May Smith, 85, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016.
She was born Aug. 6, 1930, in Independence, daughter of Leroy and Eva Marie Edgerton. She and Lenzy E. Smith Sr. were married Nov. 12, 1950.
She worked at Rawlings Sporting Goods for 19 years and retired in 1992. After retiring, She then enjoyed cooking, decorating cakes, and gardening. She loved being outdoors and took pride in the flowers surrounding her home.
Her greatest love was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ann gave her life to Christ many years ago and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenzy; her parents; three brothers, Buford, Donald and Leroy Jr.; and five sisters; Helen, Betty, Mary, Eva Marie and Dorothy.
Survivors include four children, Patricia of Louisburg and Lenzy, Kenneth and Charles of Licking; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Services were Saturday, May 7, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with John Jordan officiating. Burial was in Rock Springs Cemetery.
