Michelle Obama and Jill Biden are scheduled to visit Fort Leonard Wood on Tuesday.
During their visit, the duo will appear for a story time event with students on post at Thayer Elementary School. They will be joined by LeVar Burton, host of Reading Rainbow. For astronaut and shuttle commander Mark Kelly also will attend.
The ladies are celebrating the fifth anniversary of their Joining Forces initiative. In 2011, the two called on all Americans to rally around service members, veterans and their families and support them through employment, education and wellness opportunities.
