Led by five individuals who earned high-point honors, the Houston swimming team opened the season with a second-place finish Saturday in Willow Springs.
Ebin Smith (11-12 boys), Hannah Dzurick (11-12 girls), Nicki Craig (19-25 women), Jody Arthur (26-39 women) and Jamie Albrecht (over 40 men) all led their respective divisions. Arthur and Albrecht competed in the masters division.
West Plains won the three-team meet.
