•A 24-year-old Houston man reported Saturday that his 17-year-old brother had swiped the keys to his car from his residence in a Morton Road trailer park and wouldn’t give them back.

•A Cabool man called Saturday to report neighbors on his Colburn Road land. An investigating officer made contact with a neighbor man, who said it was his land.

The deputy advised both parties that the matter was civil.

•A 36-year-old Mountain Grove woman called Friday to report she and her 31-year-old former husband were fighting, and it was getting physical.

When an investigating officer arrived, the woman stated that the man had fled. The officer searched a wooded area where the man had allegedly run, and eight flowerpots containing marijuana plants were found.

The woman said the man had damaged the hood and windshield of her vehicle and she wanted to pursue charges for property damage. A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking felony charges for property damage and the marijuana plants.

•A deputy was dispatched June 8 regarding a report of a burglary at a Highway AW residence at Plato.

A 42-year-old man who lives there told the officer he had left town June 3 and returned June 6 to discover that a lockbox containing $15,000 cash had been stolen, along with multiple knives and military night scopes.

The man named another man who lives in an adjacent trailer park as a suspect. The deputy noted in his report that the same man had in the past reported several other burglaries and large amounts of cash swiped.

•A Houston woman reported June 7 that a man had pulled up a survey stake at her Highway Z property and was driving on her land. An investigating deputy made contact with the man and issued him a verbal no-trespass warning.

•A 54-year-old Cabool man reported on June 7 that he needed an officer at his Highway 181 residence or he was going to Mountain Grove to do harm to the “honkies.”

An investigating officer made contact with the man, who appeared to be drunk. He stated the “honkies” had threatened to harm his former wife and granddaughter. He also stated his former wife had received calls from the TCSD and Wright County Sheriff’s Department indicating she was on the “honkie hit list.”

The officer advised the man that nobody from the TCSD had made such a call. Based on his behavior and level of intoxication, the officer transported the man to the Texas County Jail for a 12-hour hold period.

•Barbara Sullins, 45, of 3079 Highway VV at Licking, was issued a citation for first-degree trespassing after allegedly being on 51-year-old man’s Reed Road property where she had been told not to go.

•A 911 call was received June 5 regarding a man threatening suicide.

An officer contacted the man, 18, by phone and he stated his family members were being mean to him and he wanted to stab them all with a knife and then hang himself.

The man reportedly then told the officer if he would come and talk with him in person he wouldn’t harm anyone. The deputy made contact with the man in a wooded area near the man’s Highway 137 residence at Willow Springs.

An ambulance crew took the man to a West Plains hospital for an evaluation.

•A deputy was dispatched around 11:15 a.m. June 4 regarding a report of a man holding a gun to his head at a Highway AW residence at Roby.

The officer made contact with the man, 27, and he said he didn’t want to harm himself or anyone else, he was just angry about his marriage. A family member removed firearms from the residence and the 12-hour rule was put into effect for the man and his wife.
