Services: Monday, June 6, at First Baptist Church in Summersville

Wayne Perry Bryant, 91, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016.

He was born Dec. 17, 1924, in Lee’s Summit, son of Pary Franklin Bryant and Lola D. (Davis) Bryant. He and Kathryn Opal Holland were married in 1948.

He became a member of the Summersville First Baptist Church on June 9, 1947. He served as a deacon for many years.

He loved his church and family. He delighted in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He loved to buy and sell cattle. He made his living trucking and trading cattle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn; his parents; two siblings, George Davis Bryant and Melba Levene Bryant Randall; and an infant great-grandson.

Survivors include three children, Terry Bryant, Kathy Berry and Mark Bryant; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bessie Faye McCallister, Peggy Nugent and Sharon Brown; and a host of other family members.

Services were Monday, June 6, at First Baptist Church in Summersville with the Rev. Jerry Baylock and the Rev. Gary Steelman officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
