The following accident was reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol:
• A Licking man faces two felony charges, including leaving the scene of a crash, following a single-vehicle accident last Tuesday afternoon in Phelps County David L. Humphrey, 37, was seriously injured in the 4:30 p.m. wreck on Highway K two miles west of U.S. 63. A passenger, Brittany L. Humphrey, 16, of Licking, had minor injuries. Both were transported by private vehicle to Phelps County Regional Medical Center.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the vehicle David Humphrey was driving had a front wheel malfunction before he overcorrected, causing the 1999 Honda Shadow to rest on its side in the roadway Both occupants were wearing seat belts.
Along with leaving the scene, David Humphrey was charged with felony driving while suspended. He was also charged with failure to register a motor vehicle and failure to produce insurance.
