Clancey A. Franklin, 61, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at his home.

He was born June 8, 1955, in Anderson, Ind., son of Thomas A. Franklin and Ethel Irene Stewart Franklin.

He grew up in the Eunice area and graduated from Summersville High School. He worked at Vaughn Redi-mix –– now Stewart Morrison Redi-mix –– for about 26 years. He was still employed through his illness and worked as much as he could.

He loved watching NASCAR racing, fishing, hunting and riding horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Pauline Gum and Mary Birdsong.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Christopher of Mountain View and Salina Mitchell of Salem; three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; a special friend and companion, Christina Turner of the home in Mountain View; and nine siblings, Beverly Flowers of Willow Springs; Tom Franklin of Yukon; Larry Franklin of Shipman, Ill., Mabel Richards of Springfield; Susie Twyford of Bucyrus; and Jim Franklin, Leslie Franklin, Roger Franklin and Sara Smith of Houston.

Services are Tuesday, July 27, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Fisher officiating. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery in Eunice.
