Practices for both the football and volleyball teams at Houston Middle School begin Monday.
Seventh- and eighth-grade girls interested in playing volleyball should meet at 3:15 p.m. in the middle school gym.
HMS football practice starts at 3:30 p.m. with a short team meeting at the Big Red building. Football equipment will be handed out that day. On Friday, Aug. 15, practice will be at 6 p.m. Players should bring a towel, soap and shampoo to shower after practice.
Current physicals are required to play both sports.
