Charles Randal “Randy” Gaston, 57, passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, in Houston.

He was born Feb. 24, 1959, in Nuremburg, Germany, son of Charles and Wanda Terrill Gaston. He and Teresa Gann were married in November 1978.

He attended Houston High School. He worked for Mitchell Construction for many years.

He loved sports from a young age.

He spent summer vacations with his grandfather, Murl, at Gaston’s store in Eunice and his other grandfather, Glen Terrill, in Summersville with a ballgame on the radio in the store and one in the car as they ran back and forth keeping track of scores — from college sports to NASCAR, football, baseball and basketball.

He lived at the Houston Senior Housing the past few years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Natalie.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa of Houston; a daughter, Brandi Gaston of West Plains; three grandsons; a granddaughter; a brother, Terry Gaston of Pacific; a sister, Rhonda Durham of Houston; and many other family members.

Graveside memorial services were Saturday, Aug. 20, in Big Creek Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
