Robert Paul Rector, 58, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016.
He was born Jan. 27, 1958, in Farmington, son of Thomas Rector and Helen Pursifull.
He served in the National Guard. He worked many different jobs, including 12 years for the Department of Corrections.
He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He was passionate about working with wood.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy; two sons, Robert Rector and Cory Rector; a stepdaughter, Sarah; four grandchildren; his stepfather, Eugene Pursifull of Raymondville; seven siblings, Daniel Rector of Farmington, Marilyn Rogers of Licking, Tom Rector of Bucyrus, Janet Nicholson of Fredericktown, Doug Pursifull and Susan and Theresa of St. Louis.
Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Fox Funeral Home with Pastor Lloyd Heavin officiating. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery.
