Military veteran

William Douglas Dewhirst, 64, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016.

He was born July 3, 1952, in Eugene, Ore.

He served with the Army in Europe.

He did building inspections for the City of Kansas City.

He enjoyed plants, crafts and music.

Survivors include his mother, Katherine; a sister, Anita Long; a special friend, Rita Carlock; and many other family members.

Memorial services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Father Vince Bertrand officiating. Visitation is 1 p.m. until service time. Burial with military honors will be in Licking Cemetery.
