The Cabool board of aldermen on Monday approved an economic development incentive in hopes of landing a company.
The Cabool council unanimously approved a 75 percent tax abatement of personal property for 10 years that coincides with a 75 percent real estate tax abatement in the Texas County Enhanced Enterprise Zone.
Similar moves have been made by the Cabool board of education and Texas County government.
The incentives would be used by a firm exploring Cabool for a multi-million project.
The company is expected to make a decision later this month.
