Oleta B. Watson, 91, passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016.

She was born Jan. 26, 1925, in Perrin, Texas, daughter of Richard A. and Alta Jewell Seber Barton. She and Cecil B. Hay were married in August 1941. She later married James Watson in April 1977. After his death, she and Cecil Sims were married in December 1994.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Helen Barton and Lois Morris; two children, Patricia and Cecil Hay Jr.; and her husbands, Jim Watson and Cecil Sims.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Alton of Summersville; a son, Kenneth Hay of Summersville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Fran Bass of Paradise, Texas; two brothers, Joe Barton of Waco, Texas and Wesley Shurbet of Graham, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nate Cooper officiating. Graveside services are 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in McAdams Cemetery in Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas.
