Randy Dewayne Hanks, 59, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, in Springfield.

He was born July 5, 1957, in Poplar Bluff, son of Don and Margie Plemmons Pemberton.

He graduated from Troy High School in 1975 and later entered the Navy.

He enjoyed fishing and loved his dachshunds, Lilly and Shasta. His favorite times were with his family and his grandson, Luke.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruth Diane Hogan

Survivors include his son, Shawn Greer of Houston; a grandson; and many other family members.

Graveside services with full military honors are 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, in Kerns Cemetery at String Town. Burial is under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
