Robert Jerome Hamilton, 65, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at Mercy St. Francis in Mountain View.
He was born Dec. 27, 1950, in Placerville, Calif., son of Ira Crandall and Maria Viola Valet Hamilton. He and Alfreda Diana McGee were married Aug. 16, 1971.
He was a correctional officer in Springfield until he retired in 2001. He was a member of Summersville Seven Day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Alfreda Diana of Summersville; three children, Robert Shawn Hamilton, Sonya Mae Wilson and Chad Bryan Hamilton of Georgia; three grandchildren; and a host of other family members.
No formal services will be held. Arrangements were under the care of Bradford Funeral Home.
