Chance Hunter and Connor Clifton led four Houston football players named to the all-district team.

Hunter was named to the first team as a running back and kick returner while Clifton was selected as a first team linebacker. They were joined by teammates Dalton James and Josh Hurst, who were each named to the second team.

Hunter, a senior, had 152 carries for 837 yards and eight touchdowns in 2016 to lead the Tigers in rushing and scoring. He was also had two kickoff returns for touchdowns.

Clifton, also a senior, led the Tigers’ defense with 96 tackles –– 67 solo and 29 assists. He had five tackles for losses, one sack and returned a fumble for a touchdown.

James, a junior, was Houston’s lone offensive or defensive lineman to receive postseason honors. His selection was on the offensive line.

Hurst, a junior linebacker, ranked third on the team with 73 total tackles, including seven tackles for losses. He tied for the team lead with two fumble recoveries and caused another.
