Charles Juner Sullivan, 78, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

He was born Oct. 4, 1938, in Texas County, son of Charlie Henry and Billie Wilcox Sullivan. He and Carroll Ann Williams were married March 12, 1971. They later divorced.

He served in the Army during the presidency of John Kennedy.

He worked setting pins at a bowling alley for his first job. He later worked at Crescent City Saw Mill with his father, Charlie. He worked in highway construction and before retiring built several houses.

He lived much of his life in California, mostly in Crescent City and later Marysville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joann Sullivan in 1990.

Survivors include a son, Brian of Selmer, Tenn.; a grandson; a great-grandson; his companion, Nora Malone of Ozark; three sisters, Peggy Sullivan Capshaw Wilson of Crescent City, Calif., Kitty Sullivan Cooperman Mansfield of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Jackie Sullivan Davis Hipke of Glenoma, Wash.; a brother, Douglas “Rock” Sullivan of College Place, Washington; and many other family members.

Services were Saturday, Jan. 21, at Bradford Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Steelman officiating. Burial was in Summersville City Cemetery.
