New members were named to the Texas County Extension board. They are: Sampson Branson and Raymond Ferguson, Raymondville; Mrs. Leland Homes of Cabool, Mrs. Warren Ragsdale, Cabool; Mrs. Leland Douglas of Bucyrus and Mrs. George Ostler of Willow Springs.
NFO members in Texas County joined forces by selling hogs to a newly created NFO hog buying station at Lebanon.
E.L. Daugherty has resigned from the Texas County School Board and his vacancy was filled with the appointment of Bob Agee.
Nancy Lantz was named president of the Heart of the Ozarks 4-H Club. Other officers were Janet Crowley, vice president; Mary Stottlemyre, secretary; Lugene Rust, treasurer; Bobby Cole, reporter; Eddie Cole, game leader; Mary Lybyer, song leader; Ann Dawson, parliamentarian; and Ronald Troutman and Ricky Amelon, council representatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Troy Castleman, owners-operators of the Otasco Store, were in Tulsa for a merchandise show and meeting.
