Lucas Kelley’s career night wasn’t enough for the HHS Tigers to top Winona.

Kelley scored 39 points and had 10 rebounds Tuesday night in a 78-64 loss in the opening round of the Liberty Invitational.

Kelley was 11-for-25 from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers, before fouling out. He was 15-for-20 at the free-throw line. He also had five assists.

Ty McCloud added eight points and Isaiah Buse had six for HHS, which trailed 21-10 after the opening quarter.

The sixth-seeded Tigers (5-10) play Koshkonong at 8 p.m. Friday in the consolation bracket.
