Pauline Marie Pitts, 84, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, in Summersville.

She was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Summersville, daughter of Norman P. and Grace Hicks Richardson. She and Clyde M. Pitts were married Sept. 30, 1951.

She was baptized as a young girl in the Jacks Fork River at Steel Bridge. She was attending First Baptist Church and gave her heart to the Lord with her sister, Billy, at her side.

She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 363.

She enjoyed reading and daily luncheons at the Senior Center with friends. In her younger years she loved to travel, being with her family and fish fry’s at deer camp.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; her parents; and a brother, Robert Richardson.

Survivors include three children, Marilyn Howell, Sharon Pitts and Dwain Pitts of Summersville; eight grandchildren; five brothers, Bud Richardson and Darryl Richardson of Summersville, Dale Richardson of Union, David Richardson of St. Clair and Roy Richardson of Pittsburg, Mo.; five sisters, Virginia Holdren of Union, Dena Bunch of Rogersville, Billy Lutes of Ballwin, Dora Rice of Union and Rita Richardson of Leslie; 14 grandchildren; and a host of other family members.

Services were Sunday, Jan. 22, at Bradford Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Steelman officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
