The Houston Lady Tigers have lost three straight games as they play without their leading scorer.

HHS lost its first conference game of the season 48-39 Monday night at Willow Springs. The Lady Tigers were again without Jaydin Ramsey, who is dealing with a foot injury.

Kaitlyn Root led HHS with 14 points. Chloe Hunninghake added nine.

Ramsey was injured in the third quarter of last Thursday’s matchup with Norwood in the Mansfield Tournament. She had scored 17 first-half points as her team rallied from a 17-2 deficit for a halftime lead. Houston eventually lost that game as well as the third-place game Saturday against Forsyth.

Houston coach Jim Moore said Ramsey is questionable for Thursday’s conference game at Salem. The Lady Tigers, who had previously beaten Willow Springs twice this season, are 3-1 in the SCA and 9-10 overall.

In Saturday’s game, Root scored 21 points in the Lady Tigers’ 51-45 loss to Forsyth. Along with Ramsey, starting point guard Abby Casper (illness) also did not play.
