Amanda Izora Owens, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2017.

She was born April 23, 1920, in Houston, daughter of Fred and Tollie Dablemont.

She moved to northwest Arkansas in 1990 with her husband, James, after spending much of her life in Missouri. She was active in many organizations during her life. While living in St. Louis, she was president of the local, Missouri and national PTAs. Moving to Arkansas, she became president of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Purple Heart.

She worked for many years as a nurse in St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Robert Krone and James Owens; and three brothers, Norton, Farrell and Vaughn Dablemont.

Survivors include two children, Marlene Olafson of Bella Vista, Ark., and William Krone of Arizona; two stepchildren, Karla Stewart of Wichita, Kan., and Jim Owens of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Bryce Dablemont; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were Saturday, Feb. 4 at Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, Ark. Burial was in Rogers City Cemetery.
