The public is encouraged to line U.S. 63 through Houston at 3:30 p.m. today as the Houston High School girls’ basketball team leaves for the district championship game in Cabool.
Organizers said bus will come down First Street and then turn onto U.S. 63. It will be escorted by the Houston Police Department and City of Houston Fire Department.
D&L Florist has donated balloons for fans to hold. They can be picked up before noon. Signs are also welcome.
The Lady Tigers, seeded second in Class 3 District 10, face No. Licking at 5 p.m. in the district championship game. Houston is seeking back-to-back titles.
