The Houston Tigers’ season ended Monday night with a 73-38 loss to Mountain Grove in the opening round of the Class 3 District 10 tournament.
Sophomore Paydon Dixon hit four 3-pointers en route to a team-high 14 points for HHS. Lucas Kelley added eight points.
The Tigers went ahead 8-7 early to force a Mountain Grove timeout. The top-seeded Panthers then went on a 22-0 run to pull away.
In Monday’s other opening game, Conway beat Cabool 66-53.
Houston (5-20) lost its final 11 games of the season.
The game was the final one for seniors Kelley, Cameron Root, Tayler Ward and Riley Cavaness, who was unable to play due to the flu.
