Josephine Lauretta Bates, 75, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017, at her home.
She was born April 20, 1941, in Fosston, Minn., daughter of Victor and Lauretta Lundberg.
She loved to travel. She was able to visit 49 of the 50 states as well as Canada and Mexico. Her nickname by some of her grandchildren was āGranny GoGo.ā
She was a member of the VFW Ladiesā Auxiliary 6337 for 40 years and was proud of her involvement with an organization supporting veterans and their families.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, boating, raising cattle and shopping. She loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in any event and attended on a regular basis.
She was preceded in her death by her parents; her husband, Joe; a son, Ricky Ramsrud; two stepsons, Don and Larry Bates; and a brother, Carl Lundberg.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra Sullins; a son, Danny Ramsrud; three sisters, Shelley Feiten, Lori Lucht and Marie Clark; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services are Thursday, March 9, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Craddock Cemetery.
