Judy Janette Castleman Kish was born March 26, 1937, to Clay and Georgia Richardson Castleman of Houston, Mo., and died March 7, 2017, in Tucson, Ariz.

Judy graduated from Houston High School with the class of 1955 and was active in many school programs. She was a cheerleader, played in band and orchestra and was Homecoming and Pineymo queen. She was a member of the Houston Methodist Church.

Judy attended University of Missouri at Columbia; later flew with Trans World Airlines. While serving as a flight attendant, she became interested in the Catholic Church and then joined the church. She married Andrew Kish and lived in San Jose, Calif., where their daughter, Kathy, was born. She was again very active, coaching her daughter’s swim team and raising funds for the Olympics and International team trips.

After the death of her husband, Andy, she moved to Tucson, Ariz., to be close to her daughter and her family. Again, she was active in the community and Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Kish Finnegan; son-in-law, Ed Finnegan; grandsons, Rio and Kino Finnegan; as well as relatives in Houston and many friends everywhere.

Memorial services celebrating Judy’s life were held in Tucson, Ariz., with Pastor Ken Blondeaux officiating. Catholic services will be in Illinois, where Judy will be buried next to her husband, Andy.

Judy was a lively, gracious, and a kind person to all she met and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Submitted by Sally Ann Gladden, who remained her life-long friend.
