Ronald Fredrick Bennett, 72, of Houston, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at his home.

He was born March 25, 1944, in Warren, Ohio, son of Dean Leslie and Margaret Zelda Brown Bennett. He and Elsa Hulings were married Sept. 19, 1982, in Eldon.

He graduated high school in Atchison, Kan.

He attended church at Cornerstone Church until it closed.

He was a painter and mechanic. He enjoyed fixing things, gardening and tinkering on electronics.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leslie Bennett.

Survivors include his wife, Elsa Bennett of the home in Houston; a stepson, Charles Fulcomer of Houston; a stepdaughter, Cindy Story; and two daughters, Debbie and Kathy Jo.

Memorial services are Friday, March 24, at Evans Funeral Home with David Arthur officiating. Cremation was under the direction of the funeral home.
