Behind a pair of victories by senior Trenton Best in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles, the Houston High School boys’ track team placed third among 14 teams Monday at the Willow Springs Relays.
Noah Moseley was second behind Best in the 110 hurdles and also was runner-up in the high jump.
Evan Richardson placed second in the 100.
The 4×100 relay team of Michael Clayton, Best, Richardson and Best finished second. The same group placed third in the 4×200.
Clayton was third in the long jump and freshman Dakota Burchett was third in the high jump.
Robert Faupel and Aidan Sawyer placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the shot put.
Dixon was fifth in the long jump.
HHS senior Tori McCloud led the Lady Tigers with runner-up performances in the 100 and 300 hurdles. The girls placed fifth as a team.
The 4×100 and 4×200 relay teams both placed second. Kameron Hall, Melody Buse, Emily Shea and McCloud ran the 4×100. Hubbs replaced McCloud on the 4×200.
Madison Lawson had a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 100 and 300 hurdles.
Buse and Shea were fourth and fifth in the high jump.
Hall, a freshman, placed fourth in the 200.
