The Houston tennis team swept Licking 9-0 Tuesday.
Lucas Kelley, Grady Todd and Isaiah Buse led the way for the Tigers with 8-0 shutouts in singles play. Kyler Ramsey and Marley Stoops won 8-1 and Trenton Smith was victorious 8-2.
In doubles play, the teams of Kelley and Todd as well as Buse and Smith won 8-0. Ramsey and Celina Castleman won 8-2.
Last Friday, the Tigers trailed Mountain Grove 5-2 when rain halted the match.
Kelley’s 8-6 victory was the lone HHS victory. Ramsey and Castleman won their doubles match 9-7.
On March 28, Houston lost 9-0 at home to Salem.
JUNIOR VARSITY: Kyle Mills won his JV singles match 6-0 Tuesday against Licking.
