Houston Police Chief Tim Ceplina said the public should be aware that parking on Ozark Street near the Houston R-1 School District is prohibited.
Ceplina said “no parking signs’ were posted in front of the high school and middle school two weeks ago. He said violations continue.
“We’ve been writing several tickets in front of the school before and after school,” Ceplina said. “We understand it’s convenient, but it is also disturbing some of the residents’ properties. We also want it to be safe for the children.”
Ceplina said he planned to meet with Dr. Allen Moss, superintendent of Houston Schools, to discuss a pickup policy that would only use the westbound lane of Ozark.
