Nola Day, 101, of Independence and formerly of Houston, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Independent Chateau.
She was born Sept. 14, 1915, in Lebanon, daughter of Arthur and Essie Breakfield O’Quinn. She and Eldon Hall were married July 11, 1936. He passed away April 21, 1954. She later married Theron Day on June 17, 1956. He passed away Dec. 13, 2007.
She worked at Texas County Memorial Hospital when in opened in 1959 and became hospital administrator before retiring.
She was a resident of the Independent Chateau for almost 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; a brother, Olan O’Quinn of Lebonon; three sisters, Thelma McShane of Conway and Wilma Addison and Ruby Hawkins of Lebonon.
Survivors include a daughter, Dana Gobble Lee of Independence; two grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Private burial was under the direction of Floral Hills Funeral Home of Kansas City.
