Alice Irene Ice Mann, 81, of Cabool, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 9, 1935, in Independence, daughter of Charles and Hester Howell Reed. She and Charles Everett Ice were married in 1964. He passed away in 1998. She and William B. Mann were married in 2001. He passed away in 2010.

She was a 1953 graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence. She worked for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City. After completing Radiology Technology School, she worked in Ottawa, Kan., before moving back to the Ozarks.

For more than 40 years, she worked in various medical clinics in Cabool, Mountain Grove and Houston.

She was active in her community and church. She also served on the Cabool school board.

She and her husband lived on a farm, where they raised hogs and operated registered angus cattle.

She was preceded in death by her husbands and a brother, George “Bud” Reed.

Survivors include two sons, Everett Ice of Cameron and John Ice of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday, May 9, at Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool. Burial was in Ozark Cemetery in Houston.
