Blaine Haskell Brower, 88, of West Plains, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at his home.

He was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Webb City, Okla., son of Roy and Nellie Fine Brower. He and Beulah Mae “Tiny” Williams were married April 17, 1947. She passed away June 3, 2003.

He graduated from West Plains High School in 1946.

He served with the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He was a policeman for the City of West Plains, deputy for the Howell County Sheriff’s Office and was employed for 20 years with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, retiring as a criminal investigator. He also worked for Frisco Railroad, investigating railroad accidents.

He was a 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite, St. Louis; York Rite, Mountain Grove, Abou Ben Adhem, Springfield; Eastern Star and West Plains Lions Club.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Plains.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife; a brother, Wayne Brower; and two sisters, Bernice Williams and Alieen Jester.

Survivors include two nieces and five great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services were Friday, May 5, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
