The Texas County Sheriff's Department seized 211 grams of marijuana and 119 grams of methamphetamine in Houston.

A 30-year-old Houston man is charged with drug trafficking after county authorities discovered a large among of marijuana and methamphetamine while responding to a reported assault on May 1.

Dustin Fithen, of 302 Mill Street, is held on $500,000 bond following his arrest by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department. Along with the trafficking charge, he also faces felony charges of delivery and possession of a controlled substance.

During a response to a call from a Forrest Drive residence, a deputy said he requested and received permission to search the home.

The officer said he located six plastic bags of marijuana, numerous plastic bags containing a large amount of methamphetamine and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

The officer said he determined the drugs belonged to Fithen, who was one of three men at the residence. One of the other men told the officer he had seen Fithen with the crystal substance earlier in the night and witnessed him selling it to the other man.

The marijuana seized in the incident reportedly weighed 211 grams. The meth weighed 119 grams.
