Houston High School senior Trevor Motzkus was named last week to the all-district baseball team for Class 3 District 10.

Motzkus, the team’s starting center fielder, batted .241 with a .392 on-base percentage in 2017. He tied for second on the team with 17 runs scored and fourth with 11 RBIs. His 11 steals tied for third on the team.
In the field, Motzkus had a .974 fielding percentage with just one error. He had five assists.
Houston lost its district opener 10-0 May 12 to Licking. The rest of the district included Ava, Cabool, Liberty, Mountain Grove and Willow Springs.
Motzkus was the Tigers’ lone representative on the all-district team.
