Six students from Texas County have been awarded scholarships from Missouri State University for the 2017-’18 academic year.
The students were selected from those who applied based on their ACT (American College Test) scores, GPA, standing in graduating class and leadership shown in community and school activities. Named were:
• Taylor Casper, Houston, deans’ scholarship.
• Madison Franklin, Houston, deans’ scholarship.
• Stephan Jordan, Licking, deans’ scholarship.
• Sword Katz, promise scholarship.
• Alexis McLeod, deans’ scholarship.
• Nikki Coleman, Yukon, board of governors scholarship.
