Highway 17 in Howell and Texas counties will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction through early August as contractor crews perform an asphalt overlay.
The section of roadway is located from U.S. 160 in West Plains on Highway 106 in Summersville. Work started Wednesday and is scheduled from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. through Aug. 4 including weekends as necessary.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
