The field has been announced for the Houston High School softball team’s Aug. 26 tournament.
The Lady Tigers will host Seymour, Gainesville, Salem, Bakersfield and Mansfield in a six-team round-robin format.
The teams will be divided into two pools to determine championshp matchups. Pool winners will be determined by overall record, head-to-head record, runs allowed, runs scored and run differential.
Each game will have a 90-minute time limit if the full seven innings aren’t completed. A run rule – 15 after three innings, 12 after four and 10 after five – will be in effect.
The schedule is:
•Houston vs. Seymour, 9 a.m. on Carter Field.
•Salem vs. Bakersfield, 9 a.m. on Chamber Field.
•Salem vs. Mansfield, 11 a.m. on Carter Field.
•Gainesville vs. Seymour, 11 a.m. on Chamber Field.
•Houston vs. Gainesville, 1 p.m. on Carter Field.
•Bakersfield vs. Mansfield, 1 p.m. on Chamber field.
The second-place teams in each pool will play for third place at 3 p.m. on Carter Field. The last-place teams in each pool will play for fifth place at 3 p.m. on Carter Field.
The championship game is 5 p.m. on Carter Field.
