A community-oriented program launched last year called “Houston MO Rocks” is still going on.
The ways it works in general:
• Log onto the “Houston MO Rocks” Facebook page.
• Look through the posts for photos of hidden rocks and clues for where to find them.
• Find the rock –– by yourself or with friends and family.
• Take a photo of the rock you find and post it within the group.
• Re-hide the rock and leave a clue in the group for the next person to find it.
Organizer Lisa Hamlin said it’s fine for people to paint their own rocks, hide them and post photos and information about them.
For more information, go to the Facebook page or call Hamlin at 573-639-9137.
A new participant who recently joined made the rock in the photo, which was found outside the Houston Herald office. “She’s very creative,” Hamlin said.
