Tryouts for the Houston High School cheerleading team are 7:30 a.m. Friday at Tiger Stadium and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 18 inside the elementary gymnasium.
HHS cheer sponsor Delinda Dixon said the team needs “a school mascot and cheerleaders who are energetic and ready to work hard to cheer our football team to success.”
Practices are 6:15 a.m. each morning at the football field until school begins, Dixon said. Tryouts are for new students or those who missed spring tryouts. Participants must have a current sports physical.
