Memorial services: Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Evans Funeral Home.

Anita “Nina” Ann Stickel, 54, passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 29, 1963, in Washington, D.C., daughter of William and Margie Costello Johnston. She and Richard Stickel were married April 17, 1986, in LaPlata, Md.

She grew up in Waldorf, Md., and graduated from Thomas Stone High School. She and her husband, Richard, moved to Missouri in 2002.

She worked on farms her whole life. She also was a substitute teacher while her children were little.

She enjoyed reading, horror movies, looking for arrowheads and animals of any kind. She loved her grandbabies and her family.

She was preceded in death by her father and a granddaughter.

Survivors include her mother, Esther “Margie” Myers of Maryland; her husband, Richard Stickel of Solo; her children, Adam Stickel and Jack Stickel of Solo and Amanda Stickel of Kansas City; seven grandchildren; and three sisters, Terrie Beardsley and Kathy Montgomery of Maryland and Angel Eller of Virginia.

Memorial services are Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Evans Funeral Home. Cremation was under the direction of the funeral home.
